No headaches, more efficiencies.
Nitschke Energy is a zero-compromise, integrated provider of well servicing and workover services. We endeavour, at all times, to do no harm, to the environment, or to the communities we work in. Quality and productivity are our guarantee and the welfare of your people, and ours, is paramount to us.
Established in 2013, Nitschke Energy saw the Nitschke name re-enter the Australian Drilling Industry after a short hiatus. John Nitschke Drilling (JND), grew to be one of the largest private drilling companies in Australia, before it was sold in 2012.
Leaning on JND’s 50 years of experience, Nitschke Energy, led by Jonathan Nitschke has inherited the same innovative philosophy, always pushing the envelope, continually looking for ways to move the pin closer to perfect, fast becoming recognised as Australia’s well workover and maintenance specialist.
Nitschke Energy has maintained close ties with the Australian Drilling Industry Association and has strong working relationships with tier-one clients including Santos and Origin Energy.
Nitschke Energy guiding principles;
When working with us you’ll never just be another number, your needs become ours and we just ‘get on with things’ allowing you to sleep well at night, safe in the knowledge Nitschke Energy is on the job.
Meet our leaders.
THE PEOPLE DEDICATED TO KEEPING YOUR WELLS SAFE, OPERATIONAL & PRODUCTIVE.
Jonathan Nitschke earned his stripes in his father’s operation John Nitschke Drilling (JND), which at its sale in 2012, was one of Australia’s largest private drilling and energy service providers, with a team of 200 employees.
Jonathan evolved from leasehand to CEO, growing the company to a fleet of 16 rigs, and securing major contracts with BHP Billiton, Rio Tinto, BMA, AGL, QGC and Arrow Energy.
In 2013, Jonathan established Nitschke Energy, adopting the nimble, innovative philosophy his father’s company was renowned for. He ordered and helped design the first two innovative XDR 75,000 lb rapid service rigs, which no other company had at the time.
He introduced the new SAFE-T-Catwalk pipe handling system to enable automated and hands-free operating of tubular and sucker rods. The rig and equipment packages were customised to increase productivity and deployment speed, minimising the number of equipment loads.
By 2016, Nitschke Energy had secured their first contract with ICON Energy in Queensland. A subsequent long-term contract with SANTOS to supply rod rig and work over services followed in South Australia’s Cooper Basin.
Nitschke Energy has gone on to win long term multi rig contracts with Origin Energy in the Surat Basin and the business continues to grow.The future beyond 2020 looks as prosperous as it did, back in the sixties when the journey started.
